Bimini Quick Release Swivel Deck Hinge, Stainless Steel - FO1529

Installation was easy, works great!

Bought these when I bought a new Bimini top for my boat. I did not want to bang my knees on the factory ones that come with the Bimini or worst yet get my shorts caught in it when getting out of the boat. Appears to be a quality built piece of Stainless Steel. I had two issues. 1. They only latch one way the screw head MUST be facing the inside of the boat. If the screwed is facing out the latch will not catch. 2. I bought a Bimini with 1 inch poles. The plastic part of the Bimini top that mates to this product was to big. I used a grinder on the plastic part and now it fits just right in the deck hinge. If the top had 7/8 inch poles I expect it would have been fine. I consider that my issue since I bought an upgraded Bimini not the standard with 7/8 inch poles

great device good quality. would not work for my application. When I need one I now know where to get it.
